CAMPOLINDO CABANA CLUB
Preamble
It is the objective of the Campolindo Homeowners Association Board of Directors that all users of the Cabana Club facilities have a safe and enjoyable experience.
General Pool Rules
1. All members must sign in, when applicable, upon entering Cabana Club grounds.
2. Members delinquent in payment of their dues will not be able to use the pool or Club facilities.
3.
Children under ten (10) years of age must be accompanied by a
parent or an adult member a caretaker at least
16 years old at all times when on Cabana Club grounds.
4.
The lifeguard must be on duty whenever the meter
pool is open to member families and guests.Nobody under the age of
18 may use the meter pool unless a lifeguard is on duty.
5. The lifeguard shall enforce all rules of conduct, health and safety, and have the authority to bar from the pool and/or premises any persons who fail to cooperate. The lifeguard and/or pool manager may create and enforce ad hoc or temporary rules as they see fit, to ensure safe conditions and prevent avoidable disturbances or hazards to users.
6. The lifeguard and/or pool manager must be informed of any health or safety concerns of the patrons and their guests.
7. All persons shall be expected to use common decency, good manners and regard for others using the facility. Foul language, disobedience and spitting are grounds for dismissal.
8. There is no lifeguard on duty at the yard pool or at the roped off shallow pool. Parents must closely supervise all small children at all times.
9. Use of the pool, when open, is available to member families with the following conditions:
a. Children twelve (12) years of age and under who cannot meet minimum pool qualifications must be accompanied by a parent or an adult member at all times. Minimum qualifications are specified as follows: The child must swim half the length of the pool, tread water for one minute, and then finish the lap in the presence of the lifeguard.
b. Children 10 years of age and older who have met minimum qualifications may swim unaccompanied.
c. Use of the yard pool (next to rear entrance) is prohibited to anyone under the age of fourteen (14) unless under the supervision of a Campolindo lifeguard or Campolindo swim team coach, except for pre-season, adult supervised lap swimming workouts for swim team members which have been approved by the pool manager (via a posted notice).

All children under the age of sixteen (16) eighteen (18) will
be required to leave the pool during the hourly 10 minute rest period break. There
will be no rest period during the last hour of operation.
11. No smoking is allowed on Cabana Club property.
12. No pets shall be allowed in the pool enclosure at any time.
13. No glass containers shall be allowed in or around the pool area.
14. Use of face masks or snorkels is at the discretion of the lifeguard.
15. Only persons suitably dressed for swimming shall be allowed in the pool (i.e., no cut offs). The wearing of shirts as sun protection will be allowed unless prohibited by the lifeguard (see also #1 under Health & Safety).
16. Use of the showers at the pool site prior to entering the pool is encouraged.
17. Diving board rules:
a. A swimmer may not dive off the diving board unless they are able to swim one length of the meter pool.
b. Only one person at a time is allowed on the diving board.
c. There will be no diving off the side of the diving board. All dives must be straight off the board.
d. The former person on the diving board must reach the side or be at least 15 feet away from the edge of the board before the next diver may dive.
e. Per manufacturer limitations, no person weighing over 250 pounds shall be allowed on the diving board.
f. If pool conditions warrant, and at the discretion of the lifeguard, use of the diving board may be limited or precluded.
Other Club Facilities
1. Adult members may use the barbecue grills with the following restrictions:
a. The grills will not be available to members when they are being used for official Homeowner (e.g., Labor Day) or C.C.C. Swim Team functions (e.g., swim meets).
b. The member building the fire shall maintain control at all times until the coals are burned out. No small children or swimmers shall be allowed near the hot coals.
c. Users are responsible for cleaning the grills and area after use.
2. The office and concessions area is to be used by adults and employees only. All other persons under the age of 18 must have the permission of the lifeguard or pool manager to enter the office or concessions area.
3. Members wishing to have a party utilizing the Cabana Club facilities must first approve it with the pool manager/event coordinator, providing information as to size, date & duration in order to properly staff the pool. Reservations apply to the barbecue and picnic tables only. All other facilities must be shared with other Members.
4. The play structure next to the basketball court is not under the supervision of the lifeguard. Parents are responsible for the safety of their own children.
Health and Safety Regulations
1. All children under four years of age must wear swim bottoms with tight fitting, elastic legs and waist. Little Swimmers and other swim diapers must have a plastic pant or other snug fitting bottom worn over them to prevent accidents.
2. No potentially hazardous equipment, including air mattresses or large floats, shall be allowed in the pool area. Judgment of the lifeguard shall govern the use of swimming aides.
3. All children using swimming aides must be accompanied by an adult when leaving the roped off shallow area. These devices include tube suits and floating doughnuts.
4. The use of noodles in the main pool area will be up to the discretion of the lifeguard and will only be permitted if the child has passed the swimming test.
5. No hard balls will be permitted for use in club facilities. These include, but are not limited to, , racquet, baseballs, golf and super balls. The lifeguard has the authority to restrict the use of balls, depending on pool conditions.
6. The use of water guns is forbidden on pool grounds.
7. There will be no climbing on the lifeguard chair or any playing with lifeguard equipment.
8. There shall be no running on the pool deck, no pushing or throwing of persons into the pool, no persons on shoulders of others and no dunking.
9. Tampering with pool equipment is not permitted.
10. Disorderly conduct shall not be tolerated.
11. No persons with an open sore, cut, or wearing a bandage shall enter the pool except with the approval of the lifeguard.
12. No skateboards, in-line skates, scooter or bike riding within the pool gates.
Guest Privileges
1. Each member of the Campolindo Homeowners Association shall be entitled to guest privileges unless they are delinquent in dues. These privileges may be regulated from time to time by resolutions of the Board of Directors as conditions require.
2. Members will be charged $2.00 per guest. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to bring the guest fee to the lifeguard and to introduce the guest to the lifeguard, informing him or her of any special medical concerns.
3. Members must register guests before entering the pool and all guests must be accompanied by a member.
4. If a member invites 10 or more guests for a single function, a party reservation is required (see paragraph 3 under "Other Club Facilities").
5. Guests are subject to all rules that apply to members.
Parents are required to familiarize their children with these rules and regulations of the Campolindo Homeowners Cabana Club, and whether present or not, all parents shall be responsible for the conduct of their children while using the pool facilities.
