Dechenne, Irene Gessling, Greg

Apologies for absence: Jim Cunnane
Minutes
Bruce
Whitley called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm.
- The minutes for the September meeting were
approved unanimously, subject to a correction in the budget for the cost
of the new telephone directory. An amount of up to $2000 had been agreed.
- Financial and Operations: Brad Ward reported
that everything was on track.
- Swim Team: The Campolindo Homeowners Board Sub
committee and the Swim Team Subcommittee will meet shortly to discuss
activities for the 2008 season. Brad pointed out that payment for swim
lessons will be made to the Swim Team rather that to the coaches. The
coaches will then be reimbursed in their pay checks. This overcomes a
difficulty in the insurance regulations.
- Landscaping: Michael Dechenne reported that there
is a need to produce an updated plan containing suggestions received to
date. The sub committee has agreed to meet on Oct 10 and will make
proposals at the November meeting. Replacing some or all of the fence
will be included in the report.
- New telephone directory: Michael Dechenne has
been working on the new directory which will be printed soon. Michael
will give about 25 copies to each Board member to distribute. Extra
copies will be stored by Brad Ward for distribution to new home owners.
- Possible names for new members were discussed.
Members were encouraged to think about the three members needed to replace
outgoing members at the January General meeting.
- The Board appreciates Jim SauerbergÕs continued
management of the web site and would like to continue to use his service.
- Monitoring Rental Units: This was discussed.
The Board is not in a position to take action.
- Bauer letter: This was discussed but it would
require a change in the CC and Rs which the Board does not wish to try to
make at present.
- Control of pets: Michael Dechenne asked whether
cats should be allowed to roam free on the development since dogs have to
be on a leash. The CC an Rs do not mention cats and so nothing can be
done.
- Parking on vehicles with advertising: Bruce will
write a letter to the offending vehicle owner.
- Other business: None
