Minutes
Bruce
Whitley called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm.
- The minutes for the July meeting were approved
unanimously.
- Financial and Operations: Brad Ward reported
that the mid year dues are almost fully in. The insurance policy has been
renewed with a different company. Our investments are in CDs. Brad asked
for ideas for work needed at the pools over the winter. He commented that
the area behind the diving board needs dealing with as it gets
waterlogged. Brad also commented that the Haed Coach appointed by the
swim team had not kept up with tidiness in the coaches area. There is a
need for lifeguards during the Fall period.
- Swim Team: We need to make some improvements to
the guest members rules in discussion with the Swim Team Board. Bruce
appointed Greg Wilson and Irene Gessling as a sub committee to work with a
swim team committee over the winter and to come forward with proposals for
next season.
- Landscaping: No additional comments have been
received. Brad presented comments on the plan from the Moraga Garden
Center. He will also consult with OSH. Jim Cunnane and Michael Dechenne
were appointed as a sub committee to recommend changes and to revise the
plan for the October meeting. Replacing some or all of the fence will be
included in the report.
- New directory: Michael Dechenne has been working
on the new directory which will be completed soon. The Board approved
printing 500 copies for a cost of up to $2000.
- Landscaping around homes: The CC and Rs cover
this. Where areas are very untidy, Bruce recommended that the first step
is for Board members to discuss the problem with the homeowner.
- Commercial vehicles. Bruce Whitley has written a
letter to the owner of a vehicle with commercial stickers parked on
Campolindo Drive. Advertizing of businesses on vehicles parked regularly
on the development is against CC and Rs.
- Other business: Plans for Halloween will be
discussed at the October meeting. Board members were encouraged to think
about new members for filling positions in 2008. Brad will work on the
budget for 2008.
Bruce
Whitley closed the meeting at 8:55 pm
