Minutes
Bruce
Whitley called the meeting to order at 7:32 pm.
- The
minutes for the April meeting were approved unanimously. Richard
Hemingway was asked to correct the date to April 9.
- Financial
and Operations: Brad Ward commented that all, except one, Homeowner dues
had now been collected. The pool has been open since May 1. A number of
problems with equipment were encountered but soon corrected. The new pool
covers are in use and the self closing gates are working well. Brad also
discussed other pool improvements and his quote for new fencing. There is
interest in replacing some or all existing fencing. Bruce Whitley asked
Board members to look at the existing fencing and come to the June meeting
with recommendations of what if anything we need to do in 2007.
- New
Signage at the pool for Homeowner events. Nazri reported on progress for
the proposed vinyl signs. The meeting approved the overall designs with
large letters and plastic pockets to allow dates to be changed as needed.
The meeting sanctioned $400 for Nazri to order the one for the Labor Day
picnic as a test before ordering the remaining three signs.
- Potluck
event. Nazri reported that this will be held at the swim pool on Saturday
May 19 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. She has ordered Margarita machines and
other drinks. Homeowners are asked to bring a dish to share. Bruce
Whitley and Richard Hemingway agreed to be there at 6:00 pm to deal with
the Margarita machines. The pool will be open and pool covers left off.
- Newsletters:
Nazri asked for discussion to be postponed to the June meeting.
- Swim
Team Expansion. Steve Bartis will attend the next swim team meeting. The
Board asked Steve to notify the Swim Team Board by letter that they should
gain approval from the HomeownersÕ Board for their plans and higher fees
for the 2008 season.
- Landscaping:
Jim Cunnane now has the plans on a disk and they have been put on the
HomeownersÕ Web site for comments. A partial copy and notice will also be
on display at the pool so that comments could be collected by end of June.
The meeting approved an increased monthly fee to purchase additional
capacity for the HomeownersÕ web site
- Proposed
land use by the Acalanes School District: Irene Gessling had attended a
recent meeting on this matter. Irene reported that there will be other
meetings before any decisions are taken. Irene commented that a woman from
Miramonte had attended with a petition from the residents, local to
Miramonte. Irene agreed to post a map and letter at the pool to keep
Homeowners informed of the situation. No other action will be taken at
this time.
- The
meeting was notified that Mike Dechenne and Richard Hemingway do not
intend to progress their informational note on roofing materials.
- Parking
near the High School. The meeting decided that no action was needed at
this time.
- Street
lighting on Campolindo Drive near the High School. This had been promised
at one time but was never installed. Bruce Whitley agree to look into
this and report back at the June meeting.
- Richard
Hemingway agreed to send minutes from 2007 meetings to Jim Sauerberg for
posting on the web site.
Bruce Whitley closed the
meeting at 8:50 pm
