Campolindo Homeowners Board Meeting

Minutes

Bruce Whitley called the meeting to order at 7:36 pm.

  1. The minutes for the March meeting were approved unanimously.
  2. Financial and Operations: Brad Ward commented that all except 3 Homeowners dues had now been collected. The section of the fence behind the bleachers has now been replaced and we have paid our share of this. The new pool covers have arrived and the self closing gates are installed. Clean up day at the pool is on April 28 and the pool will open on May 1.
  3. New Signage at the pool. Nazri reported on the sizes and lettering for the proposed vinyl signs. The meeting felt that larger letters were needed and the signs could be linked with a white board to give specific dates. Nazri will provide more information for the May meeting.
  4. Newsletters: Nazri proposed that we issue two newsletters per year. Richard offered to help with the preparation of these.
  5. Swim Team Expansion. Steve Bartis reported that the MTSC club will not close for the 2007 swim season and so there is no need to expand the size of our Swim Team for the 2007 season. The Swim Team has issued the information for Registration for 2007 including criteria for use of the pool by non-residents. The Board asked Steve to notify the Swim Team Board that they should enforce the enhanced criteria and check with the Homeowners Board for fees for 2008.
  6. Landscaping: Jim Cunnane showed the plans for improved landscaping. The Board asked if these could be put on the Web site to solicit HomeownerÕs comments. This should also be mentioned in the Newsletter. A copy could also be on display at the pool so that comments could be collected by end of June. The Board approved Jim to spend up to $600 for new plants and $500 for fencing improvements.
  7. Topics Raised by Homeowners at the General Meeting: Bruce thanked Mike Dechenne for producing the list. Further discussion was delayed until the May meeting.
  8. Proposed land use by the Acalanes School District: Bruce thanked Irene Gessling for attending a meeting on this matter. Irene reported that there will be other meetings before any decisions are taken. She agreed to attend future meetings and to keep the Board informed.
  9. Traffic control: Jim Cunnane raised the subject of vehicles speeding on the development was discussed. Bruce pointed out that it was difficult to get agreement for the installation of new stop signs and speed bumps. The Town was not willing to undertake the cost of doing this.
  10. New Telephone Directory: The need for an updated version of the Campolindo Telephone Directory was discussed. Brad Ward and Mike Dechenne will start the planning for this.
  11. The informational note on roofing materials, prepared by Mike Dechenne and Richard Hemingway, was discussed. Bruce Whitley cautioned against issuing the note in its present form.
