Minutes
Bruce Whitley called the
meeting to order at 7:35 pm and the minutes for the April meeting were
unanimously approved.
- Brad
reviewed the financial position
by stating that there had been little activity and nothing had changed.
Bruce raised the issue of a letter he had received requesting $75 for
organizing newcomersÕ events. This was approved unanimously
- Operations
Brad reported that the bark
delivery had been moved to the play area. The diving frame has been
installed and the diving board will be in place by May 9. Self closing
gates will be in place soon and the shed for swim team equipment is almost
complete. The pool is being operated successfully. A water aerobics
group is using the pool during the day on Tuesday and Thursday. This was
approved.
- Landscaping
upgrades. Jim Cunnane had
purchased plants and supplies and these had been planted. Jim commented
that the area needed more work which he was willing to do. The Board
voted an additional $200 to purchase more plants and thanked Jim for his
efforts. Lisa commented that a Homeowner had been refused a request to
install a drain under the sidewalk to reduce run off across the surface.
Lisa will give Bruce the information and Bruce will follow up with the
Town.
- Social
calendar. Lisa Duncan is working
with Nazzi for the Pot luck for May 20. Steve Bartis agreed to collect
the margarita machine and Lisa Duncan will post signs about the event.
- Web
site Jim Sauerberg has taken
over the web site which he has now updated.
- 316
Calle La Montana Action about
the house will be discussed at the Town meeting in the third week in May.
Unless the Homeowner takes immediate action, the Town will abate the
nuisance by demolishing the house.
- Skateboarding. Jim Cunnane has called the police for advice.
They said that little can be done. A note will be placed in the next
newsletter.
- Homeowner
comment A homeowner contacted
Bruce to say that they had problems with rats. The local inspector had given
good advice. Information will be put on the web site.
- Pool
rules Bruce Whitley
established a sub committee to bring forward ideas at the next meeting.
Steve Bartis, Ed MacAlpine and (in his absence) Greg Wilson agree to
serve.
- New
business Lisa had received a
complaint about a Homeowner who appeared to be running a car repair
business from his home. The Town will be contacted. A few homeowners
around Via Granada will establish an informal neighborhood watch system.
The meeting was closed at 8:35
