Campolindo Homeowners Board Meeting

Minutes

Steve Gordon called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm and the minutes for the January meeting were approved. Steve Gordon also dealt with some ongoing issues for the benefit of the new members.

 

  1. Steve reviewed the ongoing issue of the ElderŐs fence, which the new Board will deal with during 2006.
  2. Jim Sauerberg agreed to take on updates to the web site and will contact Cindy Barni about this.
  3. The issue of a survey for fire hazard was discussed. Paul Gessling reported that he and George had visited the fire marshal and that the fire marshal includes the hazard in their annual survey. It is up to all homeowners to maintain their property to minimize risk.
  4. The question of a defibrillator at the pool was discussed. Brad ward reported that he has consulted manufacturers who do not recommend having a defibrillator close to a pool.
  5. Ed McAlpine reported that the fence at the pool has been put back into place
  6. Steve Gordon proposed a motion to accept the new members voted to the Board at the General Meeting. The three new members were voted in unanimously.
  7. Steve also proposed the Bruce Whitley became the new President. This was seconded and Bruce was voted in unanimously. At this point, Bruce took over the Chair. Steve Bartis gave a gift to the leaving members who then left the meeting.
  8. Bruce asked for volunteers for the Vice President and the Secretary. Ed McAlpine and Richard Hemingway were voted into these two positions. Other positions were assigned to the Board Members (See attachment)
  9. Financials for January

Brad Ward reported that there was little change since the last meeting. Brad has identified a new auditor and he will brief Jim Sauerberg who will report on this at the next meeting.

  1. Pool Operations

Brad Ward reported that self closing gates are needed and will be installed. Brad also has a bid for repairs to the wood under the solar panels. He will discuss this with Steve Bartis and they will get other bids. Brad will also work with Steve to agree the work to install the new diving board. Brad will arrange for new bark for the play area before the pool opens.

  1. Pool rules

A copy of the existing rules and managers duties were issued to all members. Members will review these and they will be discussed and the March meeting. The visiting homeowners commented that there was a need to make changes to allow more fun for children at the pool. There is a need to create a more welcoming atmosphere at the pool. Jim Cunnane will ask Laura Larson for her input and will invite her to the March meeting. Steve Bartis will also ask the Swim Team President for her input to be given at the March Meeting.

  1. Other issues

- Fence on front boundary of house on Paseo Grande

No response has been received to the letter sent to the Elders. Bruce Whitley agreed to follow up with the Town Planning Department agreed to progress this.

-316 Calle La Montana. This is on the agenda for the Town meeting on March 8.

- Bruce asked Lisa Duncan and Nazri Nazeri to produce a social calendar and proposed budget for the April meeting
